Just change it to button and then again apply gesture

Try Good Lock. I haven't had any issues with Gesture navigation after update.

Can you do a format after back up all your stuffs? After a major software update I have seen that a format do best results.

Turn off all goodlock modules and then reboot the device. This should fix your problem.
