The wait if over for all those who are waiting for One UI 2.0 and Android 10 Beta. The Beta Programme will Start from 21st October, 2019.
Eligible Devices: S10e | S10 | S10+
Registration Starting Date: October 21, 2019.

It says to backup your data? What can be its reason?

beta version isn't stable, so there's a possibility that your data may get erased while updating to beta version and even if some errors develops while installing the update your data remains safe if you have backed up your dat that's why they ask us to backup our data just for precautionary reasons.
you get the same warning in stable.updates as well...
because in case of some errors while installing the updates your data remains safe.
