I recently bought a 1 Gigabit Ethernet adapter for my Samsung S24 Ultra and get a stable 301 Mbps connection. However, software updates and Google Play Store downloads still prioritize Wi-Fi, which only gives me 49-58 Mbps.

I hope Samsung can address this in future updates. Ethernet is faster and more reliable and should be fully supported.

Hi Sathir, I understand your frustration. It's definitely annoying when you have a faster connection available but your phone doesn't utilize it for updates.

Unfortunately, there's no direct setting on most Android phones (including Samsung devices) to force app downloads and system updates over Ethernet when Wi-Fi is available. The system is usually designed to prioritize Wi-Fi for these tasks, likely for battery life reasons or to ensure a consistent connection for most users

But, you could try,
3rd party apps that give you the functionality,
Try seeking Devoloper options and try finding any lead (not promising)

Maybe turn off Wifi and mobile data 🤔 then try Etherenet adapter of yours,

Or maybe buy modem, use your adapter connect it and make it a Wifi signal so S24Ultra of yours could be able to detect the faster signals

I personally use the Fiber network it provides 99mbps+ (mega bits) stable (prices are also lower compared to packages nowdays tbh)
