Need help: proximity sensor

I have samsung s22 ultra. My proximity sensor works perfectly fine for calls. However, the issue is with whatsapp audios. When i want to listen through earpiece, the screen does not go black and audio still comes through the speaker. 

The samsung members diagnostic also shows the sensor is working perfectly fine. 

What could be the issue

Kindly go to Settings - Apps - Whats App- Make sure to allow all permissions.

If issue persist, kindly register your concern in Samsung Members app (Samsung Members app > Get help > Feedback > Error report/ask question).

Note: Please send device log files within 15 minutes of issue occurrence along with the exact issue details.

Hi. Yeah i did allow all the permissions.. nothing changed. Also i have registered it on error report as well.

Hello, this was a bug with whatsapp that affected millions of users regardless of their android device (all series) when the latest whatsapp update was released the issue disappeared. I also had it on my s22 ultra as well as my friends that have different samsung models(note 20/ m series / s21) but now it's working fine.

I'm with the same exact problem. Whatsapp Version 2.22.13.10. Galaxy S22 Ultra.

I have whatsapp version 2.22.11.82
It is definitely a whatsapp issue. I checked on my friends phone samsung galaxy note 20. He is facing the same issue
