My s22 got a greenline after the recent update I went to samsung service center they said my mobile is not under warranty. OK fine but I don't understand after an update got greenline so. Who is responsible for this hardware issue?

Hello. Sorry to read about your challenge. IMO, a reason you might get a response like that from Samsung Support is that there may be multiple reasons a screen might become defective, as yours is.
Green lines could be caused by physical impacts, vibrations, excessive pressure, or accidental drops to the phone, as opposed to being just simply as a result of a software update.
I've heard of green line issues with almost all major OEMs such as OnePlus, Nord, Apple's iPhones, Nothing Phone, Google Pixel, Oppo Realms, Vivo, iQoo, Xiaomi, Poco, Motorola, etc.
Was the quoted repair too high? Can you seek an alternative repair quote from competent/authorised sources?
