Morocco’s Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports has signed a partnership agreement with Samsung Electronics Maghreb Arab (SEMAG), aiming to deepen the use of digital technology across the national education system.

The agreement was signed on Monday in Rabat as part of the ministry’s 2022-2026 roadmap, which focuses on accelerating digital transformation in schools and promoting innovation in teaching and learning.

Ilham Laaziz, Director of Educational and Digital Resources at the ministry, signed the document alongside SEMAG President Hong Seok Lee.

The event also celebrated student achievement in technology. The ministry and Samsung awarded prizes to winners of the second national Python programming competition, which brought together 12 teams representing regions across Morocco. The Drâa-Tafilalet team secured first place, followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra in second and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra in third.

In a statement delivered at the event, education minister Mohamed Saad Berrada talked about the important role of the Samsung Innovation Campus initiative in building national digital capacity, particularly in programming and artificial intelligence.

The program trained and certified more than 261 teachers in 2025 alone. Houcine Keddad, acting Secretary General of the ministry, delivered the minister’s remarks during the event.

Berrada also praised Samsung’s contribution to advancing digital education and strengthening national technical skills.

The ministry views the partnership as a major step towards digital teaching and learning. Officials plan to expand certified AI training for teachers through the new agreement while continuing to support students who excel in programming.

For his part, SEMAG President Lee described the Samsung Innovation Campus as central to the long-term cooperation between the company and the ministry. He noted that the partnership has already helped thousands of Moroccan students access advanced technologies and strengthen their digital competencies.

Samsung plans to expand its artificial intelligence training programs in 2026. The company believes AI will open major opportunities for individuals who master its applications and tools.

Lee added that the initiative reflects Samsung’s long-term commitment to education, stressing that empowering Moroccan youth with advanced technical skills will help them compete globally.

It’s great to see Morocco working with Samsung to expand AI and coding education. Early exposure to technology really changes how students approach learning and future careers. When digital systems are integrated into education, even simple processes like checking exam results become smoother and less stressful for families. In Jharkhand, for example, students now access their board scores online with roll details instead of visiting schools physically. I recently came across a clear step-by-step guide explaining how to check JAC results easily https://jacresult.co.in/. Initiatives like these show how digital education partnerships can improve transparency, accessibility, and student confidence worldwide.
