Since the recent update, I've noticed that whenever I'm on a call using Bluetooth devices or even Android Auto, people on the other side of the call cannot hear me at all, regardless of the device. I can hear them perfectly fine on my end though. I end up having to disconnect the devices while on calls or just resort to using the loudspeaker while driving. Never had this issue prior to the update. Is there a way to remedy this?

Go to Bluetooth settings and pick that device and turn off the toggle that says calls

Hi
I'm sorry to hear about the microphone issues you're experiencing with your Galaxy S24 Ultra after the recent update. This problem has been reported by other users as well, and there are several potential solutions you can try to resolve it.

🔧 Troubleshooting Steps

1. Check Microphone Permissions

Ensure that apps like Google Assistant and Android Auto have the necessary microphone permissions:

Go to Settings > Security and privacy > Permission manager > Microphone.

Verify that the required apps are allowed to access the microphone.

Some users have found that disabling and then re-enabling microphone access for these apps resolves the issue .

2. Clear Cache and Data for Relevant Apps

Clearing the cache and data for Android Auto and Google Assistant can help reset any corrupted settings:

Navigate to Settings > Apps.

Select Android Auto and Google Assistant.

Tap on Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.

3. Test the Microphone

Use the Samsung Members app or the Voice Recorder app to test if the microphone is functioning properly:

Open the Samsung Members app.

Go to Support > Phone diagnostics > Mic.

Follow the on-screen instructions to test the microphone.

If the microphone works in these apps but not during calls, the issue may be app-specific .

4. Reset All Settings

Resetting all settings can resolve conflicts caused by recent updates:

Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset all settings.

This will reset settings like Wi-Fi passwords and app preferences without deleting your data.

Some users have reported success with this method .

5. Reinstall Android Auto

Uninstalling and reinstalling Android Auto can fix issues related to the app:

Go to Settings > Apps > Android Auto.

Tap on Uninstall.

After uninstallation, reinstall Android Auto from the Google Play Store.

6. Update All Relevant Software

Ensure that your phone's software and all related apps are up to date:

Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Check for updates for Android Auto and Google Assistant in the Google Play Store.

🚗 Android Auto-Specific Tips

If the issue persists specifically with Android Auto, consider the following:

Ensure that your car's infotainment system is compatible with the latest version of Android Auto.

Check that the audio output is set to your car's speakers and not your phone's internal speakers .

Some users have reported that Android Auto defaults to the microphone on the car unit rather than the Bluetooth headset mic .
