If I update my phone by the next security patch using SmartSwitch, will OneUI 3.1 be reflashed?

My phone already runs OneUI 3.1, but I want to reflash it to avoid any possible bugs.

if you update via Smartswitch the entire software module will be flashed( around 6GB) but it won't affect the stored personal information

A bit of battery drain and slight lag, but I just want to update via SmartSwitch so I can have peace of mind.
