My Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is experiencing unexpected overheating, even after closing all applications and performing a system restart. Could you advise on troubleshooting this issue?

What Android version do you have? If One UI 7, then wait until they fix it. Do you have any background apps running, such as Goodluck apps or others? These apps consume a lot of battery. Hot environments and physical damage (like dropping your phone) can also damage the battery.
Perfect temperature between 60- 94 Fahrenheit
Normal between 50 and 104 Fahrenheit
More or less will do damage over time

Am using One UI 6.1
I restarted my phone multiple times, and yet it's heating up so much.
This might sound funny, but I keep my phone in the fridge for around 5 minutes to cool it down. But this can't be possible everytime.

Try turning on the light profile performance, not Standard. Standard refresh rate, 720-pixel resolution. Turn off GPS. Turn off 5G; stay on 4G. Turn off Nearby Devices Scanning; search from connection settings. Turn off syncing. Download Good Guardian; the apps inside will show you what is happening. You need a USA VPN.

I have done everything you mentioned here. Turned off GPS, Turned of nearby device scanning, shifted to 4G, and tur ed off Syncing. Where can I download Good Guardian app from as it is not available in play store?

Download any app that shows you the temperature, Don't let your phone's temperature go below 65 Fahrenheit or 18 Celsius. Be aware of the humidity in the refrigerator.

Isn't S24 ultra water resistant? That's the reason why I keep it in fridge.

I didn't know that. Thank you for saving me from a big loss. 🙏
It's better to be safe than sorry.
