The search bar is at the bottom. I cannot search unless I close everything else😡. Also on the drop down menu , my volume key has disappeared and all the notifications now ....uuuuugh

The bottom search bar is to make one handed operation easy.....

On the drop down menu they have separated notifications and the quick access panel... swipe down from top left to access notifications, swipe down top right to access quick panel or in notifications pane swipe left to get quick access panel or vice versa depending on which of the 2 you're on

Thanks for responding. If I want to put my phone on silent , vibrating or sound , I now have to go into settings and sounds and vibrations

I'm assuming you're referring to notifications and ringtone volume is it? Now the media volume comes as default when you press the volume keys, for options on the volume of other apps you press the 3 dots at the top of the volume bar, you'll get all volume options there....

The option to silence, put on vibrate etc is available in the quick access panel as before, see circled part on the image I attached
