Issue encountered after March software update. The following did not resolve the issue:
  • Booting in safe mode
  • Factory reset 
  • Turning off blue light filter
  • Wipe partition cache
  • Turn off adaptive screen brightness
A lot of other users are encountering the same problem (mostly Note 9 users) after March update.

Workaround is to have the AOD displayed always.

please specify your model. is it snapdragon or exynos? if it comes after software update then probably Samsung can fix by another ota update. if it is a hardware issue then Samsung going to pay for this...

I had this issue for 3 months now. It started during March update. You may also check out other links I have provided, they encountered the same issue around similar time.

You may send an error report. For this,
press the Blue highlight button (+)from the Samsung members HOME. Click on 'send feedback' and then on 'ERROR REPORT'.
Describe your problem in detail.
Make sure you have good internet connection. Also attaching a screen record or screen shot is best.
They will reply after some days.
