A green line on the screen is definitely frustrating, and I can understand why that would make you hesitant about Samsung. It's unfortunate when things like that happen. I’ve heard of it happening occasionally, but overall, I’ve had a pretty positive experience with Samsung. I guess every brand has its ups and downs, but I hope they take care of the issue if you reach out to customer support!

If your Galaxy S22 has a green line on the screen, try restarting it, booting into Safe Mode to check for app-related issues, updating the software, or resetting display settings. If the problem persists, a factory reset might help, but back up your data first. In many cases, a green line indicates a hardware issue, especially if the phone was dropped or exposed to pressure. Check if your device is under warranty, as Samsung offers free screen replacements for this issue in some regions. If not, visiting a Samsung service center for a display replacement is the best solution.

To address the problem you are encountering, we recommend trying the following steps:

Step 1. Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable provided with your device, and then open Smart Switch on your computer.

Step 2. If a software update is available, Smart Switch might automatically prompt you to update the software or will display an option to update.

Step 3. Click Update and use the on-screen prompts to download the necessary files.

Step 4. Click OK to proceed. Your device may turn off and on a few times during the update process. When the update is complete, the device returns to the Home screen.

You’re going to need a copy of Smart Switch installed on your computer and your mobile device. Using Smart Switch’s computer version, update your device with the latest software. If you continue to encounter difficulties or if Smart Switch does not detect any available updates, please ensure that you have the latest version of Smart Switch installed on both your computer and your mobile device.

For more detailed instructions on how to update software using Smart Switch, you can visit our website https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/how-to-update-software-using-smart-switch/
