Galaxy SSamsung Messages has this feature (RCS messaging), but it is carrier-dependent, meaning the carrier should officially support RCS on their network to use it in Samsung Messages. But, in Google Messages, RCS can be used irrespective of carrier.
So, if you want to use RCS, Samsung Messages is fine as long as your carrier supports it, otherwise use Google Messages.

Galaxy SIf you want to sync your message cross device to non galaxy devices you should opt for google message.
Or else go with samsung message.
