Hi members,
I recently purchased s23 . For past 5 years , I was using M31. I noticed samsung made google messages as a default message app. I don't if this upgrade is for any security reason or just new android customization. As per my view , Samsung keyboard and samsung message are better choice. I am currently using google message. Writing this post to know if any one can give comparison between both message app as I am not able to find out any better quality in google message.
Your opinion appreciated and thanks in advance

RCS messaging is a very recent standard for messaging people. It is like a replacement for the SMS and MMS combo. RCS brings along features which SMS and MMS didn't have, such as high-res pictures, modern security standards, stickers, etc. (basically iMessage just with universal mobile support).

Samsung Messages has this feature (RCS messaging), but it is carrier-dependent, meaning the carrier should officially support RCS on their network to use it in Samsung Messages. But, in Google Messages, RCS can be used irrespective of carrier.

So, if you want to use RCS, Samsung Messages is fine as long as your carrier supports it, otherwise use Google Messages.

You can download & change messaging app to samsung messages as default. I am very tired of updating google message app again and again. Google gives so much updates in it and it requires more memory so... for me samsung messages app is the best, i don't use RCS messsages.1731507820349.jpg

This is very simple
If you want to sync your message cross device to non galaxy devices you should opt for google message.
Or else go with samsung message.
Although i use samsung messae because of google messages privacy terms

You are wrong, RCS option is also there in Samsung's message app with the name Chat setting.1731562708198.jpg1731562708272.jpg
