how you updated your last software? I think instead of smart switch simply you installed it via mobile data or wifi...if it's like that then it's quite possible because maximum time it gives software loop holes which creates anything mysterious with device

I update my phone through OTA using wifi. Many people on reddit also report the same issue.

that is not proper process...even display can destroy forever just after update as many samsung users faced before.... samsung provides non A/B partition type ota software not like other company hence anything mysterious can be happened with device....it's the process to install software in samsung devices is via smart switch and pc or from odin or through authorised samsung service center as they use odin only for their official purpose....did you see after performing factory reset once ?

I have the same issue!
The ghost touch at the lower part of the screen which happens 2-3 times a day right??
For now I got a temporary solution-
Turn off your haptics ( vibration ) it does not become completely proper but it reduces the issue.
HOPE SAMSUNG FINDS A SOLUTION FAST. BECAUSE THIS ISSUE IS IRRITATING

none of the tricks will helpful until you reflashed the same firmware from service center because already software loop holes formed over software
