Gallery App Not Working After Update

On 25/02/2021 I updated my S20+ 5G phone to UI 3.1. Very bad things happened immediately after that! Gallery app is not working! It shows no albums and no files at all! Completely empty! Also I cannot open any photos using gallery app. I cannot play any vidoes using default video player! I cannot take any screenshot! I used a 3rd party app to take the attached screenshot. In the play store under gallery app it says in red font that the app is NOT compatible with my device anymore! (See attached screenshot) Also I cannot use the camera! It crashes all the time. I cannot take any photos. I cannot take any videos. The camera opens but immediately crashes when I take photos or videos.

 Please help me!

Update:
Today 29 March 2021, an update came and fixed all these issues which I was facing since 25 Feb 2021. Thank you very very much @Samsung

Sadly it has been few days now for me. I hope Samsung takes quick action regarding this serious issue!

I am facing exactly same issues of Camera crashing, Gallery app not working, Cant see photos and cannot do screenshots.... VERY FRUSTRATING ! it all happened after the update.

Even I face the exact same issue with Note 20 Ultra. I wish samsung will come up with some solution other than formating your phone. Its a very time consuming process.

I am waiting since 25 Feb 2021!!! And of course I am not willing to format. Very bad I cannot use default gallery, default camera, or open any type of media files using default apps. I cannot even take a screenshot the normal way. Now I am using 3rd party apps for all of these things. I hope an URGENT update comes from Samsung to resolve all these very very annoying issues!

My A50 is doing the same thing....and i updated last night the 5 april 2021! this is ridiculous. This is my work phone is severely impacting my productivity. please assist!

Hi,

Please try to send an error report to understand the problem and check the System Log files.

1. Open the Samsung Members app

2. Touch Get Help

3. Touch Send Feedback

4. Choose Error Report

Ever figure this out? My brand new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is doing all this. Crashes after taking 2 to 3 pictures, doesn't save pics in gallery, can't take screenshots and can only take pics and look at gallery in secured folder...thanks for any info!

Sorry to hear. Let's see if we can help you with that.

 

Open settings, accounts and back up, back up and restore, samsung cloud, Gallery, open the sync.

If the same issue, send us the log files and screenshot along with the issue, extending from (Samsung Member App).

 

1. Long press Samsung Members icon on Apps screen and Tap Error reports

2. Tap OK on agreement popup for sending system log data

3. Select Symptom category

4. Describe problem in detail and SEND.

 

If the issue continues, please bring the device to a Samsung Service Center to have it checked out.
