Galaxy S20 FE 5G Charging issues

I just got a new S20 FE 5G ( I have had it one day) and it will not charge unless it is switched off.  I will say its charging for about 5 seconds when it is turned on then it just stops.

I have tried a bunch of troubleshooting but nothing has worked. Here is what I have tried;

Restart

Turning off and on 

Using the original cable

Using a different cable

Checking for dust/debris in the charging port and charger

trying to charge in safe mode ( it doesn't )

Returning it to factory settings

Checking for updates.

Any help would be great I like the phone just not this weird issue.

Wireless charger my friend. I have the same issue fixed it at Samsung store but returned again

Honestly I would rather not have to fork out more money to try and bypass a fault on a brand new phone. As this appears to be a well known issue I think I will just send it back and go with another brand of phone.

You didn't mention if you try different charger or not

If not try a different charger as well

I did say I used a different cable, which  I used in a different plug

Normally this issue because the phone not getting enough current so it won't charge when it's on because it needs more current than when it's off and since u try almost everything I think there is some hardware issue

You mentioned u have it for 1 day only is it like under warranty or something like that ???

I think u better return the phone since you have it for only 1 day only or take it to service center

Yeah I am going to send it back and get another brand instead, was just checking to make sure I wasnt doing something silly before I gave in.
