Samsung seems to be working on a Galaxy S10 Lite model, based on rumours in the past and a new Geekbench listing. A Samsung device with model number SM-G770F has been spotted on the benchmark site, and it is reportedly the Galaxy S10 Lite. While there have been no teasers or an official confirmation from Samsung regarding the existence of the Galaxy S10 Lite, the benchmark listing does reveal a few specifications.

Going by the name, the Galaxy S10 Lite will be an affordable version of the Galaxy S10. But Samsung already has the Galaxy S10e as its affordable flagship, and considering it has been around eight months since the launch of the S10, we wonder if the S10 Lite will really see the light of day.

According to the benchmark listing, the Galaxy S10 Lite will feature a Snapdragon 855 SoC, which makes it a 2019 device all right. It is also listed with 8GB of RAM, which is more than the Galaxy S10e that offers 6GB of RAM. The Galaxy S10 Lite will run on Android 10, which makes sense.

Samsung has launched a lot of phones this year. The Galaxy S10 lineup offers three models already. While it doesn't sound surprising to hear about a Galaxy S10 Lite model, what is perplexing is the timeline. With 2019 coming to a close and our attention now steering towards the Galaxy S11 lineup, would a Galaxy S10 Lite make sense right now.

If all the rumours are to be believed, Samsung is not only working on the Galaxy S10 Lite but also a Note 10 Lite and Galaxy A91 which are also tipped to come with Snapdragon 855. It is entirely possible that only one of these devices may come to life in the coming months or none of it is true. It's best to consider the Geekbench listing with a pinch of salt until Samsung confirms the device.

But why S10 Lite when S11 launch is near? sounds very unlikely.
