Hello Members, today, it’s a bit different, as I never reviewed something similar.
I had a 10 years old washing machine, that probably didn’t need replacement, but I got very interested in the new Samsung washing machines lineup, specially that they are now smarter and better than ever.
In October, I went for the Front Load Washer with Ecobubble & SmartThings AI energy Mode, 10.5 KG White, vs my old washing machine that was 6kgs and had nothing close to technology.
I got the chance to see it first at the Samsung AI Home Event a couple of months ago, and made up my mind after checking out the features.
What I like about this one, obviously besides the nice design, is the integration with SmartThings, and all the technological perks that comes with it.
The build and finish are great, I went with the white color to match the Samsung fridge and other appliances in the kitchen. It’s super quiet compared to the older one I had, but towards the end of the washing cycle while doing the drainage and fast spin, it can get a bit loud for a minute or two, but compared to the other brands and older technologies, it’s still better than anything else I experienced and saw.
The most exciting thing about it, is the App control, and remote access, as well as the integration with SmartThings and the Samsung Eco System.
The amount of options you have on the App, from Control, Monitor, Support, Maintenance, download of washing recipes and even Cycles, is great, you can just set it up, leave the house, turn it on and off and control it from anywhere in the world, as well as get notified on all your connected devices when the cycle ends, what to do after it’s done…
You can even monitor the energy usage, in terms of electricity, water, and enable if needed an AI energy mode so save energy on the Washing Machine itself, in other words, it’s every Geek/Nerd’s dream machine 😀
I also opted for the 2 Years Extended Warranty + Expert Care Combo, just like I do with all my devices from TV, to Phone, Watch, Tablet etc, for the ease of mind, it covers a lot of things including Expert Care service.
It’s been a while since I was excited about a new product, I’m very happy I have this new addition to the ecosystem, and looking forward to the next appliance.
