For me it's under system. Says unusual software and I never rooted nor installed anything new. Always transfered and updated from other Samsung cloud storage. I'm using my old S10 5G again downgrading from newer versions

Ok. There's the option of resetting your phone to an original state. It isn't the easiest option as you'll have to set things up again.

Other than that, you can take it to an authorised service centre to have it checked. That would most likely mean there'll be a cost. I suggest you have it checked as soon as possible.

Ok. That's a current/recent device. I suggest you have an authorised service centre check it as soon as possible. I just had my Galaxy Buds3 Pro serviced and it took 48 hours; fast turn-around.

If the fingerprint feature shows a message such as unusual software even though the device was not rooted or modified, this is usually related to a system integrity or software issue.
Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Restart the device and test the fingerprint again
    Remove all registered fingerprints and add them again Settings > Biometrics and security > Fingerprints
  2. Make sure the device software is fully updated
    Settings > Software update > Download and install
  3. Restart the device in Safe mode to check if any third-party app is causing the issue If the issue started after data transfer, back up your data and perform a factory reset, then test the fingerprint before restoring apps
  4. If the fingerprint still does not work or the unusual software message remains, the device will need to be checked by an authorized Samsung service center for proper diagnosis.
