Galaxy S
I'm experiencing extreme difficulties with fingerprint recognition after a recent update. Unfortunately, this is preventing me from accessing essential applications that rely on this feature. It has become quite frustrating to navigate these daily tasks.

Galaxy SThank you for reaching out to us. We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with the fingerprint recognition feature after the recent update. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when it affects access to important applications.
To help resolve the issue, please try the following steps:
- Remove and Re-register Fingerprints:
Go to Settings > Biometrics and Security > Fingerprints, delete the existing fingerprints, and register new ones. Make sure your finger and the screen are clean and dry. - Clear Cache of Biometrics Services:
Go to Settings > Apps > Filter (Show system apps) > Biometrics Service > Storage and tap Clear Cache. - Update All Apps:
Ensure your Samsung apps and system apps are updated through both the Galaxy Store and Google Play Store. - Restart Your Device:
A simple restart may refresh system performance after an update. - Screen Protector Check:
If you're using a new or thick screen protector, try removing it and testing the fingerprint again, as it may interfere with recognition.
If the issue continues after these steps, please let us know. We will be happy to assist you further or guide you to the nearest Samsung Service Center for inspection.
