1. Fix Chrome (Menus, PDFs, Random files):
Go to Chrome > Tap the 3 dots > Settings > Downloads.
Turn ON 'Ask where to save files'.
Now it will ask you before downloading anything, so it stops silently filling your phone with files.
2. Fix WhatsApp Clutter:
Go to WhatsApp > Settings > Chats.
Turn OFF 'Media visibility'.
This stops WhatsApp images/videos from showing up in your main Gallery and mixing with your photos
Go to Chrome > Tap the 3 dots > Settings > Downloads.
Turn ON 'Ask where to save files'.
Now it will ask you before downloading anything, so it stops silently filling your phone with files.
2. Fix WhatsApp Clutter:

Galaxy SThank you for contacting us regarding the annoying issue of automatic file downloads from various sources (WhatsApp, Chrome, bank statements, etc.) cluttering your device.
The solution requires adjusting settings within each specific app that is performing the auto-download:
- WhatsApp Auto-Download Fix
Open WhatsApp > Settings (three dots) > Storage and data.
Under "Media auto-download," tap on "When using mobile data," "When connected on Wi-Fi," and "When roaming."
In each section, Untick all boxes (Photos, Audio, Videos, Documents). - Chrome Browser Fix
Open Chrome > Settings (three dots) > Site settings.
Find and select Automatic downloads.
Ensure the toggle is set to OFF or Ask first.
(Optional) In Chrome Settings > Downloads, ensure "Ask where to save files" is toggled ON.
These steps will give you manual control over what is downloaded, solving the file clutter.
