Hello friends, I wonder why driving mode can start automatically only with Bluetooth connection between phone and car , other options in conditions there's no way to detect driving with motion. In short it's impossible to start driving mode automatically with motion on s23 ultra. On other hands it's possible to detect driving in
Settings/Safety and emergency/Silence notifications while driving
This above setting turning on detects driving with motion and it works perfectly, I just drive anything car byk or anything it just dects perfectly and starts DND ( do not disturb) question is if phone is capable of doing this why it's not applied on Driving mode ??
I wanted to keep my phone unlocked while I'm driving, I tried alot methods in Modes and Routines .
There's no option in IF section for DND
There's an option to keep phone unlocked in THEN section but it's disabled, clicking on it shows info that this feature can be used with only this 5 conditions , I tried that 5 conditions but still it's disabled and keep saying that info again and again .
I turned on function in Safety and emergency/ Silence notifications while driving. So when I'm driving it detect as I'm driving and it starts DND and I get notification "Do not disturb turned on" . After that I created a Routine with IF condition if I get notification with specific word and I entered specific word " Do not disturb" and in THEN section I selected DATA turn off just for experiment, but the problem occurs that " Do not disturb turned on" notification is sent by 13 UI , so this notification is not regarded as app notification, and therrs no 13 UI app in the list of App in Modes and Routines.
1) In short it is impossible to detect driving with motion when s23 ultra is already capable of doing so
2) it's impossible to create a routine based on notification if the notification is coming from system ( only installed app)
3) it's impossible to keep ur phone unlocked with any conditions.
Socking thing is my galaxy watch also can't detect driving with motion.
So after all it's impossible task having s23 ultra phone and wearing galaxy watch 4 , galaxy earbuds 2 . All this gadget can't know that your driving , really amazing
Actually I love s23ultra so much it's the best phone I have ever used til the date , but I take out bugs and some more smart features to improve it more , hope Galaxy team understand it🙏
Has anything changed so far? Because I don't have Bluetooth in my car or any other device I could connect to. I don't use Android Auto either, and driving mode has never started on its own, and I drive every day. If that helps, it's the same time every morning. And just like all the other modes (sleep, before bed, getting up) work without a problem, driving mode doesn't.
yes now we can start driving mode automatically but it says
"We're still learning about how this condition works for you, so you may get unexpected results. You can keep this condition, and results will improve soon, or you can change the conditions now."
so they are still learning how to detect driving automatically, but it works
in Mode&routine , select driving mode , and select Start automatically, then create new condition, and select driving
