Hi there,

I recently purchased an S23 Ultra in May, and the out-of-the-box Android version was 6.0.
When the One UI 6.1 update was released, I installed it, but I'm not satisfied with the latest build.
Is it possible to downgrade One UI 6.1 to 6.0?

Hi.
Officialy, as stated by Samsung, once you update to the new firmware you will not be able to downgrade and if you do it, you do it at your own risk, the network provider will not support you with this, you will have to reinstall new software on your phone or break the one you already have. 📱🚫

No you cannot downgrade since on oneui 6.1 it comes with newer build number which is higher then oneui 6.0 so simply it won't work
Actually oneui 6.1 is better in my opinion specifically after june update now phone runs much cooler and not facing heating issues which it was on 6.0

Yes, I am also not facing heating issues and feel a smoother experience, but feeling battery drain a little fast

Battery life will get better after using for few weeks until it learns your usage patterns

Just turn of some unnecessary settings it will help a lot for battery savings

Under settings just turn off these things total useless stuff

nearby device scanning
google location accuracy
Google Diagnostic data
Samsung Diagnostic data
Samsung cloud backup
Multi controL
Ultra wideband (UWB)
Music share
Mute with gestures

Keep the brightness on auto
Turn off nfc and Bluetooth if you don't use frequently
Choose network mode 2G/3G/4G if you are on Wi-Fi and dont use mobile data because 5g signal drain battery faster

Trust me i turned off these settings and i am getting 7 to 8 hours screen on time on s22 ultra with adaptive refresh rate and and 8 to 9 hours with 60hz standard refresh rate

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your concerns with the latest One UI 6.1 update on your Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. We understand that you are not satisfied with the current build and would like to explore the possibility of downgrading to One UI 6.0.

Downgrading the operating system on your device is not officially supported by Samsung for several reasons, including security risks, potential data loss, and system stability issues. Once an update is applied, the previous software version is not available.

I would like to know from you if Samsung is aware that they have spoiled the quality of the photos with the new update and if they are going to do something about it, this is my worst smartphone in terms of photos, phones 3 years ago took better photos.
