Display flickering with horizontal lines

Since 1 day my display is flickering and shows horizontal lines. In the attached screenshot the horizontal lines aren't visible but there is a demarcation in shade in the upper 1/3 and lower 2/3. Please advise if anyone has got this issue or any fix.

So how do you know its a display issue? Like i said the issue started when the july 1 updates were auto downloaded.
