Galaxy SIf black bars are appearing everywhere, even outside the Facebook app, it could indicate a display issue or software bug. Try these steps to diagnose it:
1. Run Samsung’s Display Test
Dial *#0*# in the Phone app.
Tap Red, Green, and Blue to check for display defects.
If the colors show fine without black bars, the display is likely okay.
2. Take a Screenshot
Capture a screenshot (Power + Volume Down).
If the black bars appear in the screenshot, it’s a software issue.
If they don’t appear in the screenshot but are still visible on your screen, it’s likely a hardware/display issue.
3. Boot into Safe Mode
Press & hold the Power button → Tap and hold Power off → Select Safe Mode.
If the black bars disappear in Safe Mode, an app may be causing the issue. Try uninstalling recently installed apps.
4. Check for Software Updates
Settings → Software Update → Download and Install.
Ensure you’re on the latest One UI 6.1 or One UI 7 (if available).
5. Test in Recovery Mode
Turn off your phone.
Press and hold Volume Up + Power until the Samsung logo appears.
Use volume buttons to navigate and check if the issue appears in this mode.
If the black bars appear even here, it’s likely a hardware issue.
6. Factory Reset (Last Resort)
If the issue persists, try a factory reset:
Back up your data first.
Settings → General Management → Reset → Factory Data Reset.
7. Contact Samsung Support
If black bars still appear, your S25 Ultra might have a display defect. Since it's a flagship device, you should check for warranty service at a Samsung Service Center.
Let me know what you find after these tests!
