Did you know your phone's Ram's GB is not what it says it is??

This is my A36 device and it's claimed to be 6GB Ram on the specifications i than downloaded Geekbench 6 my final result report was 5.16 GB instead of the actual 6GB Ram.

For an example let's say you buy the Samsung S25 Ultra and it's said to house 12GB Ram on specifications based on ram GB it's not exact 12GB but maybe it might be 11.56GB i use to think it's exactly as based on specifications but i was wrong why is that?

I've also noticed with my old sold A16 5G based on specifications it was said to have 4GB Ram but on Geekbench 6 I got about 3.56GB Ram.

That's because the OS needs ram also...it to run the system the 880mb

You're referring to OS as in system major software update?

Also how dose it impact the phone's Ram? GB i don't get it like isn't the ram GB related to the phone's performance?

I've also noticed the lower the GB ram of the device the laggy the phone might be the higher the ram the faster the phone might be.

I also believe the phone's Ram GB performance goes in handy with the processor of the device.

The processor is the brain of the phone while the RAM determines how fast the brain can 'process' whatever you throw at it. So yes they go hand in hand.

The phone uses 5.16GB for its performance, the rest of the 6GB is for the operating system(phone software) performance.

It's the same with storage, if you have a 128GB phone, you can use 100GB(as an example, I don't know the exact number) for your own things but the 28GB is exclusive to the phone's operating system files.

Oh so they just sum it up as a whole of 6GB Ram but it's actually divided into different components for different parts of the device? But in total the size 6GB specification dose comply.

So you see your phone is keeping space for you operating system (home menu, and other stuff) so that the os is not laggy. If there were none "special space" apps would use all of the ram and the os would be very laggy.

This is not really news cause even with the ROM it does not come with the full specified storage amount.So nothing new

I think it's really "important we don't generalize" things becoz not everyone might have the knowledge you carry some people might have not known about it hence why "putting out there" the information might be helpful to those who do not know also just because you now know something does not automatically makes everyone know about it if you were to comprehend things in that perspective I think things would be much better.
