My personal opinion is Yes and I love curved displays... it's bit difficult to protect curved glass and also get a tempered glass screen for curved displays... I love S6/S7 edge's screen very much...

yes I think it's a first phone in curved display yes..

I think the first curved display was Note Edge released in 2014.. then S6 edge came with dual side curved display...
