Contacts storage draining battery

It may be Google account contacts syncing. You can turn it off , go to settings > accounts and backup > manage accounts > select the Google account > sync account > toggle off the contacts sync

And restart the device. See if this is solving the drain.

Please turn off dual apps and also, go to settings- apps- select show system app from the 3 dots on right side - go to contact storage app- battery-restricted.

You can clear cache and data if you have backed up your contacts. If the storage under use is more than 100 mb , then that is because of dual apps only.

Instead of dual a, you can use whatsapp business and WhatsApp..telegram and telegram x.

Worked for me.

How can you use Telegram for WhatsApp? I mean if there are WhatsApp groups on 3 different numbers in 3 different countries then how can one use Telegram instead of WhatsApp? Dual Messenger is the only solution? Please advise. Thanks.

I am suffering with quick battery drainage and mobile getting very hot especially when playing a FB or WAP video even for a couple of minutes.

I tried S21FE, Note 20 and A73. Problem remains.

Even the latest Samsung Watch 5 Titanium - the most expensive version - had quick battery drain problem. First time Samsung said motherboard needs replacement. They changed the watch. Same problem. 

The 65w adapter initially Samsung said no problem. Later they said there is problem.

Samsung Buds they opened a brand new pack and the Buds were DEFECTIVE. Did not work. This happened in the hands of Samsung Singapore Plaza Singapure Service Center.

Now Samsung says all products are working fine! Even though they have problems.

I have same contacts storage issue on S23 ultra. I used all the suggestions given, and so far getting better. They are as follows:

1) Go into Settings -> Apps - Filter and Sort --> Show System Apps. Find Contacts Storage and go into Battery. My was set to "optimised' so I set it to restricted.

2) Go to Secure Folder (if you set up one). Do the same for Contacts Storage in there. Go into Settings -> Apps - Filter and Sort --> Show System Apps. Find Contacts Storage and go into Battery. My was set to "optimised' so I set it to restricted.

3) For Dual messenger, I turned on separate contact

4) Disabled RAM Plus

5) For google contacts, I have several accounts in my phone, so, I turned off sync for all, except the main one
