Complaint about One UI 8 Rollout

It is very disappointing that the final version of One UI 8 has already been released for new models, but Galaxy S25 Ultra users are still stuck on One UI 7. On top of that, only a few countries even received the beta.

This feels unfair to loyal customers who already purchased the S25 Ultra as a flagship device. If One UI 8 final is ready, it should be available for all flagship devices and all regions at the same time—not just for new buyers.

Samsung should correct this rollout process so that premium customers do not feel left behind every year.

I understand your frustration, it can feel unfair when updates reach some devices or regions earlier than others. But here’s why this happens:

Staged rollout process: Even if the final build is ready, Samsung releases updates in phases by model, country/CSC, and carrier. This helps catch last-minute bugs, ensure network certification, and avoid global issues.

Beta limited regions: Betas are usually restricted to a few countries (US, India, Germany, Korea, UK) because of legal, server, and language feedback reasons. It’s not region favoritism — it’s about controlled testing.

S25 Ultra is prioritized: Since it’s a flagship, the S25 Ultra is among the first to get One UI 8 stable, but timing can still differ by region and carrier approval.

What you can do now:

1. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install regularly — many regions are starting to receive the stable build.

2. Update your apps in Galaxy Store & Play Store, since some One UI 8 features depend on app updates.

3. If you want to share feedback directly with Samsung, use Samsung Members > Get help > Send feedback.

■ The good news: your Galaxy S25 Ultra will not be left behind — it’s just waiting for your region’s rollout window.
