I use Jio and airtel sims in India. Can't seem to activate the chat settings option (RCS not working). Once I click on the option it shows some popup which I accept. After that it grays out for some time. After that again it shows and the same cycle continues.

I also updated the app to the latest version and cleared the data, but to no avail.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we want to inform you that Rich Communication Services (RCS) chats offer an enhanced traditional SMS and MMS messaging experience.

1. RCS chats provide an improved messaging experience.
2. Features include seeing when someone is typing, reading receipts, sending messages over mobile data/Wi-Fi, and file sharing.
3. RCS chats require all participants to have RCS enabled and are provided by either Google or the user's mobile carrier.

Follow the below steps to enable the RSC message.
Step 1: Run your Android Message app and tap on the More Options icon.
Step 2: Tap on “Settings” and, on the new screen, select the “Chat features” option.
Step 3: Tap on “Enable chat features” and select the “RCS” option.

In case the issue still occurs, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send).

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
