Hi there,
I have been using S7 Edge for last 1.5 yrs and can say that have been exploiting all its features to the fullest extent. This includes thr Smart View functionality where I used to stream my phone display output to my LG Smart TV without any issues. It uses the Miracast protocol which is supported by both, the TV as well as my phone.
However recently (last 2 weeks), I am unable to get it connected to the same TV. Nothing has changed. When I start SmartView from the phone and try yo connect to the TV from there, the TV detects the request, but after a fee seconds it ends up displaying a message saying "Phone XYZ could not connect". I have tried multiple combinations and different WiFi networks, but end result is the same. Any idea what may be going wrong? Please let me know.
