Don't think this is a good idea, because AptX sounds much better than SBC (if your bluetooth headphones support it). By the way I get rid of those bluetooth audio issues/interruptions (Android 12) by switching on and off Airplane/flight mode. Interestingly there are no problems with my Sennheiser PXC 550-II headphones but I need the flight mode trick for my Marshall Major IV. Maybe you got a point with AptX though because the Sennheiser support AptX and the Major IV not.

Try; turn off A2DP hardware offload in developer options. Worked for me

Galaxy A52. Bluetooth connection to JBL Boombox stopped working properly since update to Android 12. Same when streaming and with playing audio from my phone in vlc. Codec is SBC. Offload is off. Still not fixed. Avrcp 1.6.

Glad to see I am not the only one. My Anker Select Pro BT speaker has a 5-6 second delay receiving music or phone calls from my Unlocked, Android 12, Galaxy S20 5g (SM-G981U). Tried all of the above, and NOTHING has fixed the issue! Anker says "speaker is out of warranty, pound sand". Does not happen with my Anker Life P3 earbuds (sound incredible by the way). Also does not happen with my JBL Charge3 BT speakers, no lag at all on those.
