Galaxy SIf it is in deep sleep mode try to shift it into "not sleeping app" category & check if it works.
If the upper mentioned method still doesn't work try updating both apps to their latest version from galaxy apps store.
If this still doesn't work try uninstall and install both apps from galaxy store.
It will solve the problem.
Don't forget to restart after Installing the apps from galaxy store.
