Battery draining

My S8 battery is draining like hell after the march security patch update. It went from 14% to 1% in 2 hours when idle. 

Is it normal after software update ? Or do I have to make any changes in the settings?

Check for running 3rd party background apps from  developer mode>Running services>Force stop unnecessary apps.

If battery is too old consider replacing it or check battery health in service center or by accubattery app.

Software updates, when the phone is 3 years old, are sent to make it feel laggy so as to prompt you to buy a new phone. Its the harsh reality with many smartphone manufacturers.

I have experienced it. In my opinion, its true. Please check with others too.
