After Andriod P update my S8 plus is not having battery life. After 100% charging with in 2 hrs it will go down to 80% when i am using it only to recevie message in whatsapp with wifi in my office. It is too bad. By the time i finish my office and reach home it reaches to 15%. Why is it like that.
That is abnormal. Try to turn your phone on Safe Mode to see if the severe battery loss is from apps that you install or not.
active safe mode: Turn the device off.
Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen.
When "SAMSUNG" appears on the screen, release the Power key.
Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting. ------ and from my experience, using dual sim consumes more battery even in phone standby.
