Battery Protection not working lately

Since past few weeks the battery protection feature on my S23 ultra has not been working. The phone keeps charging after reaching 100% in basic mode. The battery status shows 'charging now' and the battery levels don't drop until unplugged. Same happens in 'maximum' and 'adaptive' modes too. I reseted phone settings and also installed the latest updates but the issue still persists.

Is anyone else facing this issue? Were you able to fix it?
