I am writing to report an issue I’ve been facing after updating my device to One UI 8. Since the update, my Galaxy S23 5G has been experiencing unusually fast battery drain even with light or minimal usage. The standby time has dropped significantly, and the battery percentage decreases rapidly even when the device is idle.

Before the update, my phone’s battery performance was excellent. However, after installing One UI 8, I now have to charge the phone multiple times a day. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

Optimized all apps and device performance

Cleared cache and background apps

Updated all apps from the Galaxy Store and Play Store

Tested in Safe Mode

Unfortunately, the issue persists.

I kindly request your team to look into this problem and provide a suitable solution or software fix at the earliest. Please let me know if any device logs or diagnostics are required.

Device details:

Model: Galaxy S23 5G

Software version: One UI 8

Country/Region: India

It simply shows that samsung is also running on the same path like apple's iPhone degrading the battery capacity with every new update and trying people to buy upgraded and most recent smartphone launched by them this is pathetic.

Battery draining fast can be normal after a major update. Give it time till a week for the system to stabilise. If you continue to face issues after that, you may need to check it out with the service centre
