It's because that. Some other have this problem too. First report this issue to Samsung help. And check spen settings too

Ensure that the S Pen is inserted securely into the Note 9.
Tap on Settings > Advanced features > S Pen > S Pen remote > toggle the switch to the On position. Alternatively, open your Notification Panel and tap on S Pen remote
