Are we getting any dedicated app lock feature (like iOS) in upcoming updates?

Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand your interest in a dedicated app lock feature similar to what is available on iOS, and we appreciate your feedback.

Currently, Samsung offers a few alternatives to secure apps on your device:

  • Secure Folder: You can use the Secure Folder feature to lock apps and files securely. This feature allows you to create a private, encrypted space on your phone for apps, photos, and documents.
To set it up: Settings > Biometrics and Security > Secure Folder.
  • Fingerprint or PIN for App Lock: Certain apps on your Samsung phone, including Samsung Pay and Samsung Notes, allow you to set a lock with your fingerprint or PIN for added security.
  • Third-Party Apps: You can also use third-party app lock apps available on the Google Play Store that can help you lock individual apps with a PIN, pattern, or fingerprint.

As of now, Samsung does not have a dedicated, built-in app lock feature similar to iOS, but we continue to improve our features based on customer feedback. Stay tuned for future updates, as we are always working on adding new functionalities to enhance your device experience.

If you have any further questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out to us!

Secure folder is really annoying. Doubling the app usage in mobile phone. Third party application is even more annoying with **bleep** ads. Provide something like iOs. That would be better.
