An observation on charging...

Here is an observation:

My S22 Ultra charges faster in the morning, than when plugged in at other times during the day.

I normally plug in my phone 1st thing in the morning after waking up. Since the room is cold (because AC has been running all night) and the phone has been unused for hours, I'm noticing that it charges quite fast.

But during the day (usually evening or late evening), when the phone has been in use for hours and warm, I see that it doesn't charge as fast when plugged in. I have never noticed this in any of my other phones. 

Yesterday night, my phone added 30% in 40 minutes with the 45W charger using the 5A cable (Iwasn't using the phone when it was charging). I was using the phone before plugging in. It was warm and AC was not running when i plugged it in yesterday. But today morning, it is charging at expected speeds, adding about 1.5% per minute.

Can you guys look for this specific behaviour and confirm?

I think Samsung is throttling the charging speeds based on phone temperature and ambient temperature. I think they are just being extra cautious ever since the Note 7 fiasco.

Can you provide some numbers? Like how long for a full charge, and what % per minute, etc?

My phone has AFC, just right now, it changed from 64-71 in around 8 min... Temp should be under 26°C, and no heavy background app are running... Normal usage

Ig phone learns user behaviour and then decide when to charge faster or slower...

Temperature is very important for battery life... So i could be that when temp is high phone limits charging speed...

So i guess some relation between those two factors is considered...

Samsung's Super FC is different from Vooc or SuperDart FC or other Fast charging... To minimise Phone heating, some FC technology heat charging brick instead of heating phone, or use two batteries inside phone ... You can search for those online if you want to study more...

I know all that. But i haven't seen other companies throttling the charging speed like this.

Just wanted to confirm if others too are observing this behaviour.

Abhi charge me lagane jaa raha hu phir dekhta hu 🤔
Mujhe itna yaad nahi rahta hai .... bas notice kiya charging time increase kiya hai !

Iske aage 14 hrs tak gaya 10% tak
Raat me 7-8 % battery drain ho gayi pata na kaise 🤔
