Galaxy S1. Basic Checks:
* Verify 5G Coverage:
* Ensure 5G is available in your area. Use your carrier's coverage map or app. 5G coverage is still expanding, so it can be patchy.
* Restart Your Phone:
* A simple restart often resolves temporary software glitches.
* Toggle Airplane Mode:
* Turn on Airplane Mode for 15-20 seconds, then turn it off. This can refresh your network connection.
* Check Your SIM Card:
* Ensure your SIM card is properly inserted. If possible, try your SIM in another 5G-compatible device to rule out SIM card issues.
* If you are using an esim, there have been some reported issues with those, and switching to a physical sim card, has solved the problem for some users.
2. Network Settings:
* Network Selection:
* Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network mode. Ensure it's set to "5G/LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)."
* Reset Network Settings:
* This can resolve network configuration issues. Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings. Note that this will erase saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings.
* Software Updates:
* Ensure your S24 Ultra's software is up to date. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Carrier updates are often included in these updates.
3. Carrier-Specific Considerations:
* Contact Your Carrier:
* Your carrier can check for network outages in your area, verify your account settings, and ensure your plan supports 5G.
* They can also confirm that your IMEI number is properly registered on their 5G network.
* 5G Bands:
* 5G uses different frequency bands. Ensure your S24 Ultra supports the 5G bands used by your carrier. Sometimes, phones from different regions can have slightly different band support.
* CSC (Consumer Software Customization):
* As seen in the search results, there are some issues related to the CSC, and how it effects 5G connectivity. If your phone has a CSC from a different region than where you are using it, there could be compatability issues. This is a very advanced issue, and not something that is easily fixed.
4. Potential Hardware Issues:
* Phone Case Interference:
* Some phone cases, especially those made of metal, can interfere with signal reception. Try removing your case to see if it improves 5G connectivity.
* Hardware Problems:
* If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with your S24 Ultra's antenna. Contact Samsung support or visit an authorized service center.
Important Notes:
* 5G signal strength can vary significantly depending on your location, obstacles, and network congestion.
* Keep your phone's software up to date for optimal performance.
I hope this helps!

Galaxy S1st of all it's not available everywhere especially indoors
Then, accessing 5G is always a battery consuming affair especially on older phones such as my S22Ultra.
Also, even in open space 5G keeps shifting to 4G and vice verse.
Also, on 90% of the Shamesung phones VoNR is not enabled so calling over 5G is not yet possible.
I always try to keep my phone on 4G mode which uses less battery and its reliable. However, Samsung phones have a bug in them that every time u select 4G mode only, it again starts accessing 5G wherever its available.
Its a HUGE BUG by the way.
Any ways
Take care man
Bye for now.
