**Samsung Galaxy AI Urdu Language Support Status**
Urdu language support remains incomplete across the majority of Galaxy AI functionalities. Despite the recent expansion to 22 languages, which included the addition of Gujarati and Filipino, Urdu is still absent from the officially supported list.
A detailed analysis of Urdu's limitations within Galaxy AI is provided below:
* **Live Translate (real-time call translation, Face-to-Face, and messaging):** This feature does not support Urdu. The absence of Urdu in available language packs renders this functionality inoperable for the language.
* **Interpreter Mode (real-time conversation translation with split-screen):** Urdu is not supported, as this mode relies on the same language support as Live Translate.
* **Writing Assist (formerly Chat Assist – for message rewriting, tone adjustment, grammar correction, or translation):** Full support for Urdu is not available. Users frequently encounter limited or no AI suggestions for Urdu input, and translation features often display "unsupported language" errors.
* **AI Language Packs (Settings > General management > Language packs):** The Urdu language pack is not provided. While packs for Hindi, Gujarati, and Arabic are available for download, an Urdu option is currently missing.
* **Accurate Urdu Voice Typing (Samsung Keyboard voice input / Speech-to-Text):** Basic voice typing for Urdu is present, but its accuracy is suboptimal. Users have reported issues concerning punctuation, spacing, pronunciation (particularly for Pakistani/Indian accents), and integration with other Galaxy AI features such as Note Assist.
**Impact on Other Galaxy AI Features:**
* Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, etc., exhibit limited or inaccurate performance in Urdu due to the lack of comprehensive language support.
* Samsung Keyboard AI suggestions and grammar checks offer only partial functionality in Urdu.
