this is 4th or 5th time i have been posting to this forum. the nougat update has become a big nightmare. the battery life has more than halved since the update. just in an hour on standby and without any change in no. of installed apps or usage frequency, the battery has gone down to 66% from 98%. urgent attention is required to fix this issue. it seems the updates are given to make the existing phones obsolete and this is the very reason downgrade is also not allowed. extreme disappointment.

whatever has been suggested in the link shared above is a very general set of instructions. everybody knows why a battery drains faster. the question here is not why is it draining faster. the question here is that why has it started draining faster after the nougat update. earlier for same set of applications and activities, it lasted 5-7 hours. it now lasts less than 3 hours. nothing else has changed except upgrade to nougat.
