it can be done with odin unless it's knox protected.please be aware that it can brick your phone.

You can use odin and install custom roms based on marshmallow. But first you will need to install twrp custom recovery, root your device and then flash the rom. You can search for the process on youtube. Make a backup of original firmware first using twrp recovery or download it from somewhere.

however downgrading is not recommended. Better find a rom that runs on nougat or oreo and then comtinue the flashing process.
