my international variant (Exynos) of Note 10 had update issues and I flashed firmware manually.. i bought it from UAE..so I think you've to flash firmware manually to get future update..

no, i stay in india and want a snapdragon version as exynos is battery hungry. and i have an experience with overheating where the glue of my s9's back panel melted out

In case of a motherboard failure, you will have the Exynos version because the motherboard will be Indian.

The glue of your S9's back panel melted due to some other reason, not because of the heat from the processor, because there is not way that the processor heats so much thqt it actually reaches the edge of the phone to melt the glue.
