telephoto camera not being used after September update on note 9

Hi all, Samsung has cheated us after september update. They have completely disabled second telephoto camera instead of fixing the vibration issue. 

As you all can see in below screenshot I kept finger only on main sensor and not on telephoto. And still when I am switching to telephoto I can see my finger.

if you are in dark environments then software will not allow to use the telephoto lence

Then how to check until you cover it?? I am in bright environment only in office. But if you cover lense obviously it'll be dark. What is best way to check if it switches to telephoto lense or not??

correct telephoto lens have narrow aperture in camera so its natural that telephoto lens will not work in low lights or covering the main camera as telephoto lens is a supportive lens to main camera .
