the thing is it needs in idle mode for few seconds on the scheduled time if you are using the mobile at that time then it will not turn untill you leave for a second

just for try scheduled the time again and just before few seconds or minutes turn of screen then open again it will turn to dark mode

Bro, keep your phone idle in that situation..just give a try..don't perform any action

i have aslo set schedule for my device and it's working. don't use your phone scheduled time. give some second to former properly
