notification on lock screen

my lockscreen doesn't light up when I receive notifications. instead I hear the notification sound and the led indicator starts to blink. How do I make my screen wake up when receiving notifications???

I have the same problem. samsung galaxy on max. screen not blinking up during notifications. its annoying.
