after updating software I am getting a vertical line and sometimes multiple horizontal lines come and go , I am using samsung note 8 it's a premium device and I dont expect such things provide a fix for this in next update or its better to buy iPhone as they cost same and are better

Its your display issue. And now since note 8 has been sent to archives by Samsung I dont see any remedies. Better to buy iPhone.

no it's not I have checked and debugged my whole phone its software update problem the latest security patch of October is causing this problem

To resolve the issue kindly follow the given below steps:-


1. Display brightness level:- Kindly set the device display brightness in auto mode (If available).
Steps to adjust brightness in auto mode: Swipe down on the home screen to open notification panel>Turn on Auto brightness. 


2. Reset the device:- Settings >General Management > Tap on Reset.
Note: Before reset make sure to have back up of the data via Smart Switch Mobile App
(Install Smart Switch App > Open > Click on Memory Card Icon >Back Up option > Choose the data for Back up > Back Up).


If the issue still persist, kindly register your concern in Samsung Members app along with screenshots, short videos and error log file(Samsung Members app > Get help > Feedback > Error report/ask question).
Note: Please send device log files within 15 minutes of issue occurrence along with the exact issue details.

it doesn't come in screen shot it's a software bug it can be seen in debug report

I have this vertical green line 1month after i updated the firmware on 23 nov 21. This doesnt look like user user but samsung repair centre insisting is user issue and chsrging me $330++ for changing the screen!

I also don't have warranty so samsung won't replace it even when it's their fault

service center tell to keep phone for 15 to 30 days then they will reply also not a giving a spare phone in mean time

Yes, i am also getting the same error.This occurs when you update your software installation.This is their hidden buisness to make you buy another phone.
