samsung service centres behaving like we are the culprit and the solution is to pay 18000 and problem will be fixed.really appreciable 🤝 its like being cheated it just happened because of your updation.i updated it started appearing green screen issue. we are not going to pay a single amount, SAMSUNG have to look into this.some days before one of the news channel has a bulletin (DNA)that Apple company has cheated with the buyers by their software updation.and company accepted to pay penalty to the apple users.i think this is the same issue we are facing from SAMSUNG. you have to fix this issue like apple did with their customers.

When I checked with customer care, they repeated say bring the phone we need to do physical checking. And for that checking they charge at least Rs.240. And they would also suggest for flashing of device. Or they suggest to replace display itself which would cost around 20k. They are experimenting at the cost of our (consumer) time and money. They is no concrete solution from their side.

In my opinion, we should wait for few weeks. Live with work around or setting the display brightness to either low or high region. And remove adaptive brightness.

Rest of all the functionality work absolutely fine.

 

Note: I did factory reset, which didn't helped. Instead few of the customized functionality from Samsung will be lost. To get it back, we need to flash it again from Customer Centre or wait for next major release.

Yes that's the issue no correct solution given as of now. Yes you can try reflashing software but you still have that issue because latest firmware itself has that. If you are in warranty it's free otherwise 240 so you can give it a try. But don't replace display wait for official statement.

I have found a temporary solution.

1. turn on Always On Display.
2. when ever the screen is discolored at that time lock your phone.
3. then tap on the screen to view Always On Display.
4. then press home button and unlock the phone.
5. this will correct the screen temporarily.

however the screen will again get discoloured after sometime and you can correct it again by following the above method.

you all kindly try it and let me know if it works for your phone or not.

i know its not a permanent fix and i hope Samsung is listening to us and they will come up with the permanent solution on this problem soon.

Please Join only if you are facing the Display discoloration or Overheating or horizontal lines on display when the brightness is set to low. All these issues are started recently after software update, not by any accidental or physical damage to display.

To resolve "display" issue kindly follow the given below step:

>> Reset the device and before resetting the device make sure to create data backup of your device via Smart Switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
Settings > General Management > Reset.


If the issue still persist, kindly register your concern in Samsung Members app (Samsung Members app > Get help > Feedback > Error report).
Note: Please send device log files within 15 minutes of issue occurrence along with the exact issue details.

Hi all, hope you all might have installed the last 2 updates. For me discoloration issue is resolved. A big relief.

I didn't took my phone to any service center.

Also note that I'm not using dark mode.
